Amman, Oct. 22 (Petra) Chairman of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) Board of Commissioners Ziad Al-Saaida emphasized that developing the field monitoring and oversight system is a key pillar in enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of the energy and minerals sector.

He noted that the monitoring system aligns with the priorities of the Economic Modernization Vision, which focuses on improving service efficiency and enhancing the investment environment in vital sectors.

Al-Saaida made these remarks during a Wednesday inspection of the Emergency and Monitoring Center, where he reviewed coordination and follow-up mechanisms with companies operating in the energy and minerals sectors to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.

He highlighted the center’s crucial role in enhancing emergency response readiness, overseeing licensed entities’ performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining uninterrupted service delivery to citizens and vital facilities.

Al-Saaida received a briefing from center staff on modern monitoring systems, complaint and suggestion management procedures, and coordination with relevant authorities. He commended the staff’s around-the-clock efforts to guarantee rapid response and accurate follow-up, reinforcing safe, reliable, and sustainable energy services.
